I actually have no idea what either of these projects are, but I feel very, very strongly in the intergity of a writer. If you did this collaboration, would you feel pride in it? Would you feel it reflects your style and personal message as a writer?
Honestly, if you hit the point where you cried, I would seriously question the benefit this collaboration has for you. Nothing against Chris at all - it just sounds like the established work and the authors' visions just aren't lining up.
