Odd dreams...
I had the strangest dream, possibly related to my therapy session yesterday.
Mom and I were still living together and we'd moved into a newly-build townhouse (apartment?) in a fairly underdeveloped, but really nice and expensive neighborhood. I think this was supposed to be back in Loudoun. We were sharing a bed for some reason and I was reading a bunch of fantasy stories written by a friend from high school. They were very Mary-Sueish, and eventually I couldn't stand it any longer, so I closed my laptop and got out of bed to go for a walk.
It was the middle of the night, which is normally the last time I'm wandering the streets alone in my pajamas. I had my iPod with me and it was playing this really creepy waltz (a song I actually have on my iTunes), so I was dancing as I went. It was mostly a "German step" as they called it in the day, proving I can't waltz even in my dreams. But, those bounding gallops were taking me very high in the air and very far onto this big grassy field.
Eventually, I guess I decided I'd walked too far (I could still see the door of the house), so I turned around and started to walk back. I wound up sitting down on the grassy lawn-like patch under what I knew was the bedroom window and kept listening to my music. Suddenly there was a man, all dressing in white and rather hairy, approaching me. I held up my arms, crossed like Wonder Woman deflecting a bullet, and I heard my mom calling for me. I tell her I'm coming and the man falls on me. Not like he's trying to violate me, more like he tripped over something and tipped over. His legs are on me. Mom calls again, sounding impatient, and I reply in kind, telling her, yes, I'm coming, give me a minute. Meanwhile, I'm trying to shove him off me and get free. When I do get loose, my mom calls my name again, sounding really angry, and the guy is suddenly sitting up and has me by the wrist, so I tell to hold on, I'm coming, just give me a minute.
And then I woke up.
EDIT: Not sure it matters, but this is the song (with lyrics) from my dream: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oNJGAwqV0ys
