I think it was symbolic somehow, but I don't want to overanalyze. At first, I thought, "is this like Underglass? Is this a story I need to write?", but it makes less sense than Underglass' dream, and anyway, I don't think I could do it justice. I hate writing stories where there's no hope and the whole point of that kind of zombie fiction is, there is no hope.
